Position: Maths Teacher

Location: Northampton

A dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher is required to work in one of Teaching Personnel’s Client colleges in Northampton from October 2024.

The intuition is based centrally to Northampton in NN3, on a large campus with excellent facilities for Teaching and Learning. They also have great transportation links with various bus routes that travel directly to the school, as well as a large onsite car park for driver. The College has been rated a ‘Good’ College by Ofsted and is an extremely supportive environment for both staff and students.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, Mark and Teach high quality Mathematics lessons to further education students
  • to ensure there is consistency kept during the class teachers absence.
  • Liase with other members of staff including the cover manager, and other teachers within the mathematics department, to ensure you have a full understanding on the students needs, and are providing feedback for their performance during your lessons.
  • Potentially support with lunch time duties, and clubs if needed.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Mathematics or related field
  • Qualified Teacher status (QTS) or other teaching qualification is ideal but not necessary
  • Experience teaching a class of secondary students mathematics
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A passion for education, and fostering a love for Mathematics within others

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
