Teaching Personnel are currently working with a welcoming primary school in Blackburn that is looking to appoint a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support children in EYFS with additional needs and challenging behaviour on a full-time basis.

This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who have experience working with children with special educational needs, challenging behaviour, or a background as a Child Support Worker, Care Worker, Residential Support Worker, or Teaching Assistant.

• Supporting children in EYFS with a range of additional needs
• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
• Helping pupils to access learning and reach their full potential
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support plans

Previous experience supporting children with SEN and/or challenging behaviour
Child Support Worker, Residential Support Worker, Care Worker, or Teaching Assistant experience considered
Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
Passionate about making a difference in children's lives
