SEMH Teacher – Northampton (Permanent)

A highly reputable SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) and SEN (Special Educational Needs) school group is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teacher to join their permanent staff team at their Northampton site from January 2025 or sooner.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and resilient educator who thrives in supporting students with complex needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning in a nurturing and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality, tailored lessons that meet the diverse needs of SEMH students.
  • Fostering a safe and supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborating with a skilled team of professionals to create individualised education plans.
  • Managing behaviour effectively, using restorative approaches.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with SEMH or SEN students, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of strategies for supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development.
