Location: Near Andover
Salary: £168.80 – £270.98 per day, dependent on experience
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Contract: Full-time, long-term with potential for permanent placement
Start Date: September 2026

Supply Desk is working with a specialist provision near Andover supporting young people aged 11–16 with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The school provides a calm, structured and nurturing environment where students receive highly personalised support to help them re-engage with education, build confidence and achieve meaningful outcomes.

With small class sizes of typically 1–6 students, the setting is able to provide a truly individual approach, combining academic learning with life skills, vocational opportunities and personal development.

The school places a strong emphasis on trauma-informed, attachment-aware and restorative practice, with teaching staff working closely alongside pastoral and therapeutic teams.

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join the team from September 2026.

You will primarily deliver English and Maths to small groups of students, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants. Alongside academic progress, you'll play an important role in helping students develop confidence, emotional regulation and positive relationships with learning.

You'll be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated English and Maths lessons

• Adapting teaching to meet individual needs and EHCP targets

• Building positive, trusting relationships with students

• Supporting students with emotional regulation, engagement and resilience

• Creating a safe, consistent and supportive classroom environment

• Working closely with SEN, pastoral and therapeutic teams

• Using restorative and trauma-informed approaches to behaviour management

We're looking for someone who is:

• QTS qualified or has strong relevant teaching experience within SEN

• Experienced with SEMH, SEND or challenging behaviour, although this isn't essential

• Calm, patient and consistent in their approach

• Confident building relationships with young people who may have had difficult experiences of education

• Adaptable, resilient and genuinely passionate about helping students progress

• £168.80 – £270.98 per day
