Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join a specialist secondary setting in the Grateley area from September on a permanent basis.

This rewarding opportunity is ideal for a teacher who is committed to supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and is looking to work in a nurturing environment where they can make a genuine difference. The school caters for students aged 11-17 years, providing tailored education and support to help every learner achieve their full potential.

As a Maths Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to small groups of students, helping them develop confidence and achieve success in mathematics. With class sizes of just 6-7 students, you will have the opportunity to provide highly personalised learning and build strong, positive relationships with your pupils.

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual needs of students with ASD.
  • Monitor, assess and report on student progress.
  • Create a structured, positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and families to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Promote students' academic achievement, independence and personal development.
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of, or interest in, supporting students with Autism/ASD.
  • Possesses excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Is patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle - driving is essential 
  • Permanent position from September 2026.
  • Salary in line with the Main and Upper Pay Scale (£32,916 - £51,048 per annum).
