Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Maths Teacher for a secondary school in Sunderland, with a September 2026 start. This is a long-term supply position - and it's particularly well suited to an Early Career Teacher looking to build experience, develop their practice, and establish themselves in a school where they can make a real impact.

Day to day, you'll be:

• Planning and delivering Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Stretching and supporting students of all abilities
• Assessing progress and adapting your teaching accordingly
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and engagement
• Contributing to department meetings and whole-school events
• Upholding the school's safeguarding responsibilities

You'll need:

• QTS or equivalent - ECTs strongly encouraged to apply
• A degree in Maths or a closely related discipline
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for making Maths accessible
• Enthusiasm, adaptability, and a willingness to learn
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
