About the Role:

Supply Desk are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Secondary Maths Teacher to join a successful and supportive department in the Watford area. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5), delivering engaging lessons that build confidence, problem-solving skills and a passion for mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback and support
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and attendance
• Support students in reaching their academic potential

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A degree in Mathematics or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Maths
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• The ability to motivate and inspire young people
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
