The school is based in Bury and is easily accessible via the A56 and M66 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Prestwich. The academy can also be accessed via public transport links from neighbouring areas such as Radcliffe, Whitefield, and Middleton.

-          Full-time Mathematics teacher.

-          Required to start in January 2023.

-          Teaching a full timetable, across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

-          Both experienced and newly qualified Mathematics teachers are welcome to apply.

-          Secondary academy looking for ambitious staff to help improve overall student attainment.


  • Deliver pupil centred lessons throughout the creation of comprehensive lesson plans.
  • Incorporate various methods of teaching to ensure pupils are actively engaged and understand the materials clearly.
  • Collaborate with senior teachers to establish new activities to boost students’ attainment and allocate resources correctly.

It will be required of the incoming Mathematics Teacher to set appropriate homework and classwork tasks and to mark these in line with the schools’ guidelines. The successful candidate will also be required to monitor and assess pupils’ progress and report this back to discuss with other members of the Maths department.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
