We are seeking Maths Teachers to join a specialist provisions in the Portsmouth / Havant area, supporting students aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver engaging and accessible maths lessons while playing a key role in students’ development and confidence.

You will work in a supportive environment with small class sizes and strong staff-to-student ratios, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and provide personalised support to every learner.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Delivering engaging and differentiated Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Adapting the curriculum to meet a wide range of learning needs
• Supporting students’ academic progress and personal development
• Implementing consistent and positive behaviour strategies
• Monitoring progress and providing targeted support
• Contributing to a whole-school numeracy approach
• Creating a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4
• Understanding of SEMH needs (desirable)
• Strong behaviour management and adaptive teaching skills
• Calm, resilient and consistent approach
• Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
• Commitment to supporting students with additional needs
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
